Fans had been eager to see the Second City Saint back in the WWE, and following his return to the company in 2023, they'll now get a chance to see him face a long-standing rival at WrestleMania 41.
WrestleMania 41 is set to take place in April 2025 in Las Vegas and while there are still nearly eight months between now and then it seems WWE are working to set up several huge matchups for the event.
CM Punk is set to step back into the ring for a WrestleMania event for the first time in 12 years.
Fans had been eager to see the Second City Saint back in the WWE,and following his return to the company in 2023,they'll now get a chance to see him take on one of his long-standing rivals at WrestleMania 41.
But this year has been a tough one for the 45-year-old.
Following his AEW exit,Punk joined up with WWE again, but has only stepped into the ring twice this year, after suffering a torn bicep competing in his first televised WWE match in 10 years, during January's Royal Rumble.
The pair hold a heated and long-standing rivalry, despite Rollins previously making it clear at Survivor Series back in 2023
'I also felt like he’s a fraud in that sense,or at least turned into one at some point in the last decade. That’s the long of it. It’s a deep-rooted,I wouldn’t call it hatred, but there’s animosity there.'
The pair have met in the ring several times before with CM Punk and Rollins once teaming up to win a tag team match on NXT in 2012 against Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno. They would later go head-to-head in the ring in 2013,with Punk beating Rollins on Raw.
