Eugene and Dan Levy cemented their place in Emmys history when Schitt's Creek swept the comedy categories in 2020.
On Sunday, the father-son duo, both four-time Emmy winners, returned to the Emmy stage as hosts for the 2024 Primetime Awards—and, much like their beloved sitcom, they had fans buzzing with excitement.
The pair kicked off the evening at LA’s Peacock Theater with a subtle dig at the evolving TV industry, with Dan referring to The Emmys as 'broadcast TV’s biggest night for honoring movie stars on streaming services.'
Their playful jab about The Bear's controversial nomination as a comedy also won over the audience.
'I know some of you might be expecting us to make a joke about whether The Bear is a comedy,' Eugene said. 'But in true spirit of The Bear we will not be making any jokes.'
