2024 Logie Awards: Robert Irwin hits the red carpet with a surprising date... after talks 'helicopter mum' Terri would be on Gold Logie nominee's arm

The talk of the Logies leading up to the big day was Robert Irwin's likely date to the event.

But on Sunday,the 20-year-old Gold Logie nominee didn't turn up with 'helicopter mum' Terri on his arm as expected.

Instead,the son of Steve Irwin hit the red carpet At Star City Sydney with his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here co-host Julia Morris.

Wildlife Warrior Robert was dapper in a dark tuxedo for his red carpet turn.

Julia,56,meanwhile,was ravishing in a red gown as she sashayed her way into Sydney's Star City. 

Irwin is the 'hot favourite' to win the Gold Logie at the 64th annual TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night.

In June,sources told Daily Mail Australia the celebrity conservationist would be accompanied by his mother and matriarch of the Irwin family,Terri,despite recent backlash from fans who think the pair are 'joined at the hip'. 

It is said producers of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!,which Robert hosts alongside Julia Morris,are concerned having his mother,59,on his arm could 'land with a massive thud with his core fans'.
